Since I do not have a Portuguese grocery or any European grocery near by what can I use to substitute the corn flour from a traditional grocery store

Is the temperature for the oven correct? 260 C= 500 F seems really high

Maria, that is correct, it's a little trick to make this bread as good as it is.

Is it regular white or yellow cornmeal as that is what is used to make cornbread and for coating fish. I have never seen corn flour in a grocery store.
