How much of the "Portuguese Ingredients" or Piri Piri? Or is the combination of garlic salt/paprika/dried oregano, etc. what makes it?

This recipe is amazing! I made it for 35 people - used russet potatoes and a very large pan and cooked them on the bbq. Received rave reviews and there were hardly any left overs!!! This is a keeper!

You can save a lot of time if you boil the potatoes so that they are cooked through but not mushy. I usually use cubed potato and that takes about 12 min of boiling before being drained and the spices added. Then you can roast them until you like the crispiness or crust.

These should work really well in our air fryer ( most things do!). I used to make Parisienne potatoes years ago using a special tool which would cut the small spheres from larger potatoes. Cubes would definitely be much easier!

Anna, you can use any potatoes but white russets work well, what we do here at home is we cut the potatoes into small cubes (about an inch each), we don't always buy the small round potatoes because most super markets only have them canned and it can get expensive.

What is the garlic and red pepper mix? Is that something you buy or make?

Something you buy Maria, you should be able to find it at a major grocer, but if you don't you can get it online.

I made these for a small dinner party, everyone raved about them. I used the wacky shaped scraps to make Lyonaise style which would reheat well.

Am I able to use baby potatoes peeled for this recipe as Iā€™m not able to find the Parisienne potatoes?

Yes, worst case scenario you can cut the potatoes in smaller pieces.
