Since this recipe uses "instant" dry yeast, you just mix it with all the ingredients, please make sure it's "instant dry yeast" and not active dry yeast.

I love having warm bread for breakfast, but don't want to get up early. Can I make the bread the night before and let it rise overnight, and then put it in the oven in the morning? Would this work?
Yes, but let it rise, place it in the fridge over night, in the morning remove it from the fridge, and let the dough get to room temperature before baking.

I have made this a couple of times. I read all the comments and followed all directions to the T with instant yeast that was not “dead”. While the flavor is absolutely delicious, I have a problem with the dough “spreading”. It never really forms a firm ball at any part of the process and immediately goes flat and spread on the baking pan and results in a thin flatter loaf (which is devoured all the same haha). Do you have any idea what I am doing incorrectly?
Please make sure the dough has the right consistency, maybe add a little less water, you should be able to form it into a ball, if it doesn’t it’s because you added to much water, please remember that water measurements differ for different brands of flour as some react differently. The best way is to use your judgement and add or use less water.

I'm supposed to add the yeast with the dry mix/ not in water before?
want to make this and wondering if I put this on a pizza stone that is dusted with flour if this will work? I also would like to know if I use bread flour will it still work?
Hi Amanda, yes for both. Let us know how it turns out.

This is my go to bread recipe 2x week. Day one - have it with onion soup, day 2 - French toast it, day three butter and coffee day 4 - bread pudding.
Way peezy, tasty and very filling. Loaf of bread costs $6 here - I mark my bread for less than $1 loaf.
No you don't Linda, just a regular oven, form a ball and flatten it a little, then make a cross type cut on top.

I just baked your recipe as we have trouble finding good, crusty bread here in Florida.
I used a baking stone and the bottom of the bread stuck so no bottom crust. Is the baking stone the problem?
Ignore previous about ice….pulled up recipe again, had all shown up first time….now I see about ice in gray under bread last ten minutes of bake time🤦🏼♀️
