Portuguese Blackberry Jam (Doce de Amora)
Ingredients
2 lbs of blackberries (about 4 cups)
2 tablespoons of lemon juice
2 cups of sugar
Preparation
Clean and wash the blackberries.
Cover the fruit with water and simmer gently until tender.
Add the lemon juice.
Add the sugar.
Return to the saucepan and bring to a boil.
Allow it to simmer gently until setting point is reached.
