Portuguese Red Plum Jam
Ingredients
2 lbs of plums, peeled, pit removed and cut into pieces
1 and 1/2 cups of sugar
1 cinnamon stick
1 lemon peel
Preparation
In a large saucepan, add all the ingredients and heat over medium heat, stirring frequently until you get the desired consistency.
Remove the cinnamon stick and the lemon peel, and use a hand blender to blend everything.
Add the jam into air tight glass jars, allow to cool completely and close tightly.
