Portuguese Fried Garlic Shrimp
Ingredients
24 medium-sized shrimp, peeled
6 cloves of garlic, chopped
1 chili pepper, chopped
Olive oil (as needed)
Butter (as needed)
White wine (as needed)
Salt (to taste)
Pepper (to taste)
Chopped parsley (to taste)
Preparation
Place a drizzle of olive oil (about 1-2 tablespoons) in a skillet and add a small amount of butter (about 1-2 tablespoons).
Add the chopped garlic and chili pepper to the skillet and let them fry for a bit.
Add the shrimp to the skillet.
Season with a bit of white wine (about 1/2 cup), salt, and pepper.
Let it cook until the shrimp are done and the flavors meld together.
Remove from heat, garnish with the parsley, and serve immediately.
