Fried Porkchops with Pineapple
Ingredients
4 pork chops (approximately 7-9 oz each)
1 fresh pineapple, sliced (or canned, drained well)
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon honey or brown sugar
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Preparation
In a bowl, combine the minced garlic, soy sauce, honey (or brown sugar), salt, and pepper.
Add the pork chops and ensure they are well coated with the marinade.
Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes, or overnight in the refrigerator for better flavor.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the pork chops and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
The internal temperature should reach 160°F (71°C).
In the same skillet, add the pineapple slices and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and caramelized.
You can add more honey or sugar if you prefer a sweeter flavor.
Serve the pork chops on plates, topped with the caramelized pineapple slices.
Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
