Portuguese Soup


Ingredients
2 chicken legs1 chouriço sausage1/2 lb of smoked bacon (toucinho)1 turnip4 potatoes3 carrots2 bay leaves1 onion1 sprig of chives1 cabbage1/2 lb of cooked butter beansFrench leek (to taste)Salt (to taste)Mint (to taste)
Preparation
  1. Cook the meats in salt water with the bay leaves and the chopped onion.
  2. Once cooked remove the meat and add the remaining ingredients (the vegetables should be cut into small pieces, and the beans should be added with the cooking water).
  3. Add the chopped chives, shred the chicken and add it, slice the sausage and add it. 
  4. Add a sprig of mint and remove from the heat.
