This very simple and tasty caramelized almonds recipe (receita de amêndoas caramelizadas), makes a great snack.

Ingredients

1 cup of whole almonds, without skin1 cup of sugar1 cup of water
1 cup of whole almonds, without skin1 cup of sugar1 cup of water
Get Portuguese ingredients

Preparation

  1. In a non-stick frying pan, place the water, sugar and almonds, and let it caramelize, always stirring over a low heat until so the sugar gets on all the almonds.
  2. Then, place the almonds on parchment paper and separate them with a wooden spoon (as it is very hot).
  3. Once separated, allow to cool completely.
  4. Store in a tightly closed container and enjoy.
