1 pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)1/2 cup tomato sauce2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese1 linguiça sausage, sliced thinly1 small red onion, slicedFresh cilantro leavesOlive oilSalt and pepper

Preparation

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). Place a pizza stone in the oven to heat up if you have one.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough to the desired thickness on a surface dusted with flour. Olive oil should be applied, then salt and pepper should be added.
  3. Leave a 1-inch border around the edge of the dough as you spread the tomato sauce over it.
  4. Over the tomato sauce, liberally scatter the mozzarella cheese.
  5. Add the sliced linguiça sausage and red onion on top of the cheese.
  6. Add a little more olive oil to the pizza's top.
  7. Pizza should be baked for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbling and the crust is golden brown, in a preheated oven.
  8. Remove the pizza from the oven and sprinkle fresh cilantro leaves on top.
  9. Slice the pizza and serve immediately.
