Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Grease a non-stick cake pan with butter and sprinkle with sugar.
- Peel the apples, slice them, and line the bottom of the pan with them.
- Save the remaining apple slices to mix into the batter.
- Beat the eggs with the sugar, then add the melted butter or margarine, followed by the milk.
- Finally, add the flour, baking powder and the remaining chopped apples and mix well.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and bake for about 40 minutes or until done.
- Check the cake's doneness with a toothpick.
