Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Grease a non-stick cake pan with butter and sprinkle with sugar.
  3. Peel the apples, slice them, and line the bottom of the pan with them.
  4. Save the remaining apple slices to mix into the batter.
  5. Beat the eggs with the sugar, then add the melted butter or margarine, followed by the milk.
  6. Finally, add the flour, baking powder and the remaining chopped apples and mix well.
  7. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and bake for about 40 minutes or until done.
  8. Check the cake's doneness with a toothpick.
