2 small apples100 g of walnut kernels + additional as needed250 g of flour200 g of sugar80 g of margarine6 eggs100 ml of milk1 teaspoon of baking powderGround cinnamon to taste (optional)Margarine for greasing

Preparation
- Grease a baking pan with margarine and preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
- In a bowl, beat the margarine with the sugar until creamy.
- Then add the eggs one by one while continuously beating.
- Add the baking powder and flour, beat well, and gradually add the warm milk, continuing to beat until you get a smooth batter.
- Peel 1 1/2 apples, remove the core, and cut them into small cubes.
- Add the cubed apples to the batter along with the 100 g of roughly chopped walnut kernels, mix well, and pour into the prepared pan.
- Peel and core the remaining half apple, slice it, and arrange the slices on top of the batter.
- Sprinkle with more walnut kernels and ground cinnamon, if desired.
- Bake for about 30 to 35 minutes. Remove from the oven, unmold, and let it cool.
