Preparation

  1. Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper, then coat them lightly in flour. Use just enough flour to achieve a golden crust when cooked.
  2. In a large frying pan (big enough to hold all the chicken pieces), add a generous drizzle of olive oil and heat it up.
  3. Brown the chicken pieces evenly on all sides. Once golden, remove them from the pan and set aside.
  4. In the same oil, sauté the onion and garlic, seasoning with a pinch of salt. Add thyme and pepper (or other aromatic herbs of your choice).
  5. Return the chicken to the pan and pour in the broth and beer.
  6. Let it reduce for about 10 minutes, until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce thickens.
  7. Serve with bread, and for an extra treat, pair it with French fries for an unbeatable side.
