Ingredients

1 round homemade loaf2 onions9 oz (250 g) shrimp (peeled)3.5 oz (100 g) diced bacon3.5 oz (100 g) grated cheese3/4 cup (6.8 fl oz or 2 dl) mayonnaise2 tablespoons chopped corianderSalt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste

Preparation

  1. Slice off the top of the bread to create a lid.
  2. Remove the inner crumb without piercing the crust and cut the removed bread into cubes.
  3. Peel and chop the onions.
  4. In a bowl, combine the onions, shrimp, bacon, grated cheese, mayonnaise, and coriander.
  5. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste.
  6. Fill the hollowed-out bread loaf with the prepared mixture.
  7. Place the bread on a low-sided baking tray, cover it with aluminum foil, and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for 30 minutes.
  8. Remove the bread from the oven, take off the aluminum foil, and cover the bread with the previously cut lid.
  9. Arrange the bread cubes around the loaf and return to the oven, using the broiler setting for about 7 minutes until golden brown.
