Ingredients

4 fresh tuna steaks4 cloves garlic1 lemon2 large onions2 tablespoons tomato paste100 ml of white wineOlive oilSalt (to taste)Pepper (to taste)Coriander or parsleyPickles (Optional)

Get Portuguese ingredients

Preparation

Season the steaks with salt, pepper, crushed garlic, lemon and olive oil.
Let them stay like this for a few hours.

In a large pan, add a little olive oil and the onions rings, keep stirring until the onions begins to brown.
Place the steaks in the pan next to each other and move the onion to the sides so it doesn't go under the steaks and fries evenly without burning.
Once cooked, turn the steaks and than add the tomato paste and white wine.
Simmer over low heat until the wine evaporates , which takes about 15-20 minutes.
Serve with chips or boiled potatoes.
Sprinkle with coriander or parsley.
