1 cup of sugar3 tablespoons of butter2 tablespoons of cornstarch2 eggs2 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour2 teaspoons of baking powder

Get Portuguese ingredients

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a large bowl, stir together the cornstarch and sugar.
  3. Add the butter and mix well. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Combine the flour and baking powder; stir into the sugar mixture until a dough forms.
  5. On a floured surface, roll the dough out to 1/4 inch thickness and form them into circular shapes with a cookie cutter.
  6. Place cookies on to a greased baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 7 to 10 minutes in the oven, until the cookies are done.
  8. Allow cookies to cool for a couple of minutes.
  9. Serve and enjoy!
